Old Antique VICTORIAN SCOTTISH STERLING SILVER MUSTARD POT with COBALT BLUE GLASS LINER. This is a Beautiful Antique Victorian Scottish. The side is fully hallmarked with Scottish Sterling Silver hallmarks for Edinburgh, 1871. The inside of the lid is also correctly hallmarked and is also marked "Marshall & Sons 87 George St". The Maker's Mark is that of Marshall & Sons.

Beautifully Engraved with floral decoration. The handle is even engraved.

Gorgeous Thick Cobalt Blue Glass Liner. The Liner appears to be Absolutely Original.

It has a wonderful old pontil mark and lots of good, old wear on the base. A fine piece of Scotland Sterling Silver - ready to use! It measures 2 5/8 inches (6.75 cm) in height (to the top of the thumbpiece). The Lid measures 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm) in diameter.

The Cobalt Blue Glass Liner also fits perfectly. It sits perfectly straight and flat on a table. The hinged lid opens and closes well, although the lid is a bit wobbly when opened (this is a very minor issue). There are no monograms or initials. Without the glass liner, the Mustard Pot weighs 126.4 grams (4.05 troy oz). A lovely piece for your Dinner Table or Display Cabinet! The interior of the lid is scratched / worn along the edge from being opened and closed over the years (see photos- this is only visible on the inside). The Cobalt Blue Glass Liner has some tiny edge chips / fleabites - these are quite minor. The Glass Liner is in Otherwise Great Condition - t here are no other chips, cracks, or damage.
