New May Queen Brooch Pin Silver. In Vienna in 1900, Margaret MacDonald exhibited a series of gesso panels entitled'May Queen'. Inlaid with mother of pearl, tin leaf and glass beads and influenced by Japanese decorative traditions, they remain an inspiration to this day.
